Stepping Stones NI was selected as a model of best practice in Social Enterprise by the Bank of Ireland last week and invited to display their goods in the Bank on Friday 20th May.
Staff from Stepping Stones had items from the Charity’s 4 social enterprises:
· Pink Elephant Cards
· Stepping Stones Picture Framing
· Stepping Stones Coffee Shop
· The Avenue Coffee Shop
Customers from the bank were then able to ask questions regarding the work of the Charity and purchase items if they washed.
The day was also supported by Curry’s Sprucefield who donated an I-pod shuffle and a Kodak Mini Camcorder for the Bank to raffle. All monies raised were then to be donated to the Charity.
Cara Cash, Business Development Manager commented:
“This partnership between the world of banking, retail and Charity is one that should be viewed as best practice, and we would encourage any local business who would like to support a local Charity to contact us”.
“We extend our greatest thanks to Belinda, Karen and the team at the Bank of Ireland, Lisburn and to Neil and his team at Sprucefield. The support of local business is vital for us.”
