Here at Stepping Stones our Transition Services offers students the opportunity to spend part of their summer break building upon and developing their work life skills through work experience placements. Five students in total spent several weeks in a variety of work areas including a farm, an equestrian centre, a coffee shop, and grounds keeping at a local school. All our students are now returning to school and for a few of them this will be their final year. For those who have just one year left the coming months will be a time of exploring options and making exciting choices about the next step after school.
At Stepping Stones we are looking forward to the year ahead as students prepare for new placements, both in Stepping Stones and in the local community, and undergo some more accredited training courses. Watch this space to hear how they are getting on...
