Tony has been a client of Stepping Stones’ Employment Service since 2007.  During this time Tony has been supported in placements in the car cleaning and car retail environment.  In September 2009 Tony expressed that has was keen to gain a paid job in this sector due to the level of experience he had gained to date.

With ongoing support Tony began a new work placement in June 2009 at The Car Cleaning Company.  Tony worked at the car wash one day per week and learned on the job.  His duties included washing and waxing the cars, assisting his co-workers, helping to take customer orders and payment and filling in relevant paperwork.

After six months, due to his progress and attitude, Tony became an employee of The Car Cleaning Company. This was what Tony had set out to achieve, and with the right support and in the right environment, he had successfully fulfilled his goal.

Tony now works on a part-time basis at the Car Cleaning Company in Lisburn.  Tony is pleased with his new position and has achieved his goal of finding paid employment.  He said “I am very happy that I am getting paid now. I love my job".
