For those who wishing to achieve a paid job our employment service team will offer the following:

• Vocational Profiling: A vocational profile is a document filled out with the support of stepping stones staff that will enable us to gauge which role would be best suited to the individual.  We also take all contact information and agree an action plan with our client.)

• Job Matching: After the vocational profile has been completed the employment service staff can begin to find a vacancy which would suit the client. If we do not have one currently, staff will being a trawl to find a job suitable for the individual client.

• Job Sampling: The client gets the opportunity to sample the job for a trial period, which will be defined taking individual circumstances into consideration.

• Work Placements: Clients are given the opportunity to go on work placements, allowing them to learn the job before being asked if they would like to become an employee of the organisation they are with.

• Training Courses: The employment service works very closely with the training department and local colleges to ensure that any training opportunities [link to training page] suitable for any of our clients are availed of and support clients to fill out applications etc.

• Interview Techniques: Mock interview classes etc are run where clients require and any other interview support the service can offer.)

• Support with applications and interviews: Support with application forms, online applications and any other job related activity can be supported by our staff.

• Help with paid employment options: Staff will carry out better off checks to ensure clients avail of the best paid employment option for them. Will ensure clients receive support even after they move into paid employment and this is ongoing for as long as the client needs the service.
